GARDEZ (PAN): Three policemen and a civilian were injured in a bomb attack on Governor Juma Khan Hamdard’s vehicle in the southeastern province of Paktia, an official said on Tuesday.
The roadside bomb went off at 8:30a.m, wounding three gubernatorial guards and a passerby, but the governor escaped unhurt, Khan’s spokesman Roohullah Samoon told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Paktia Civil Hospital Director Nader Naderi confirmed receiving three injured policemen and a civilian. They are reported to be in stable condition.
Witness Ahmadullah said the governor was about to enter his office when the bomb exploded.
