KABUL): Amu and Band-i-Amir Clubs chalked up victories against their rivals in the ongoing Inter-Zone Cricket Tournament being played in eastern Nangarhar province, the game’s regulating body said on Friday.
Amu trounced the Spinghar Club by five wickets, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) said. Put in to bat first, Spinghar were bowled out for 182 runs, a target that Amu achieved hands down.
In the second encounter on day five of the event, being hosted by Ghazi Amanullah Khan and Marko Stadiums, the Band-i-Amir team elected to bat against the Ainak Club. Setting a 175-run target for the opponents, Band-i-Amir bundled out the Ainak Club for 110 runs.
