Women’s sports to be promoted in Helmand

LASHKARGAH (PAN in the southern province, the governor’s office said on Wednesday.

Gen. Mohammad Aghber, heading a delegation, arrived in Lashkargah, the provincial capital, on a two-day trip on Monday. Accompanied by lawmakers from Helmand, Aghber visited several clubs, schools, as well as development projects.

 “The purpose of my visit is to study sports landscape in this province,” he said, adding Helmand’s youth had not only achievements in sports, but had excelled in diverse fields of life.

Governor Mohammad Gulab Mangal, government officials and sportsmen warmly welcomed the delegation upon its arrival in Lashkargah.
