Family loses father in Uruzgan roadside bombing

TIRINKOT (PAN): A man was killed and his wife, two sons and a daughter were injured when their car struck a roadside bomb in central Uruzgan province on Friday, police said.

The ill-fatted family had left Tirinkot, the provincial capital, for a nearby district, Chora. They travelled for 15 kilometers when a roadside bomb ripped through their car, deputy police chief Col. Mohammad Aslam told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said the man, who was driving the car, was killed and his wife and three children, two sons and a daughter, were injured in the blast.

Emergency head at the Uruzgan Civil Hospital, Dr. Ezatullah, said they received three injured people around 11am from the blast site.
