5 dead, 30 injured in Nimroz incident

ZARANJ (PAN): Five passengers were killed and 30 others injured during a traffic accident in the Khashrod district of southwestern Nimroz province on Wednesday, an official said.

The incident took place on the Zaranj-Dilaram road at around 8:30 am, when a passenger bus skidded off the road, the district chief, Mohammad Hashim Noorzai, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

A doctor on duty at provincial hospital, Saifullah, said they had received five dead bodies and 10 injured passengers, five of them in critical condition.  Twenty of the injured were evacuated to other health centres.
