JALALABAD (Pajhwok): One child was killed and eight others were injured in an explosion in Jalalabad, the capital of southern Nangarhar province, on Saturday, an official said.
Placed under a bridge detonated in the Najaran area of the city, the bomb exploded at 1.00pm, an eyewitness, Amirzada, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The governor’s spokesman, Ahmad Zia Abdulzai, confirmed the explosion and said that one child was killed and four others were wounded.
But Public Health Director Dr. Najibullah Kamawal said that they received the dead body of a little girl and eight others, including a woman.
