GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Eight people were killed on Friday when a passenger bus overturned in southern Ghazni province, an official said.
At least 19 passengers were wounded in the accident near the provincial capital on the Kandahar-Kabul highway, the Ghazni police chief said.
Brig, Gen. Zarawar Zahid told Pajhwok Afghan News the injured included children and women. The incident in Nanai area happened at 8.30am. He said the driver had fled but police were trying to detain him.
Ghazni Civil Hospital Director Baz Mohammad Himmat confirmed receiving eight injured passengers, including women and children, from the site. Three of them are in critical condition.
