GHAZNI (Pajhwok): One child was killed and three others, including a girl, were injured in a bomb blast in the Andar district of southern Ghazni province on Tuesday, an official said.
The blast took place in the Gajri area of the district around noon, the town’s administrative head, Muhammad Qasim Desiwal, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He added explosives had been planted in various parts of the district by the Taliban on poll days to target civilians and disrupt elections.
The governor’s spokesman, Shafiq Nang, said the bomb was planted by armed rebels. A doctor at the provincial hospital said the victims were aged between 13 and 14 years. He said two of the wounded were in critical condition.
