MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): Some residents on Wednesday accused female doctors at the main hospital in central Kapisa province of misbehaviour with patients.
A resident of Kohistan district, Zuhra, alleged: “Female doctors and midwives don’t listen to patients’ problems and use bad language.” She added the doctors and nurses did not care about pregnant women sitting in waiting rooms.
However, Public Health Director Dr. Mirza Muhammad Reja rejected the claims. “I keep observing hospital staff and stay in contact with patients, but no one has complained about this.”
He added phone numbers had been made available to patients to help them inform the authorities about their problems and complaints. All complaints were addressed promptly, he insisted.
