21 tonnes of drugs set alight in Kabul (Video)

KABUL (Pajhwok): More than 20 tonnes of drugs were torched in Kabul on Wednesday when officials said Afghanistan needed international assistance in the fight against narcotics — a top priority of the new government. About 360 kilograms of heroin, 29 kilograms of morphine, 120 kg of opium, over 74 kg of hashish, 162 kg of solid chemical products, 249 litres of liquid chemical, 750 kg of refined heroin, 16 liters of alcoholic beverages, more than 94 kg of raisin, 495 liters of acid and six litres of beer were set alight.
