KABUL’s port city of Karachi, a media report said on Friday.
Shahid Usman, the Al-Qaeda commander for Asia, was arrested in an overnight raid by Criminal Investigation Department (CID) police, The News reported.
Explosives and weapons were seized from the detainees in Old Haji Camp area, CID Police officer Saqib Ismail Memon told the newspaper.
Affiliated with the Al-Qaeda Sub-Continent group, the detainees were behind a September attack on the Pakistan Navy Shipyard Dockyard.
The militants were allegedly involved in planning to attack targets in India by hijacking a battleship of Pakistan Navy to ignite a war between the neighbours.
Usman, having received training in Afghanistan-al-Islami.
