KABUL (Pajhwok): Germany on Monday pledged stout support to the new Afghan government, saying it would continue to help the war-torn country return to stability.

“We are not running out of Afghanistan told a function in the capital of Balochistan province.

Germany would train Afghan security forces and civil servants to improve the situation in the country, Dr Cyrill Nunn was quoted as saying by Dawn.Com.

He offered to support efforts by Pakistan and Afghanistan to mend fences for the sake of durable peace in the region.”A stable Afghanistan is in Pakistan’s interest,” the ambassador observed.

Germany remained committed to supporting the Afghan refugees living in Pakistan, the ambassador continued.

Pakistan’s Minister for Borders Qadir Baloch alleged the region had been turned into a hub of terrorism. “The US and the West turned this area into a hub of terror to oust the Russians from Afghanistan.”

Pakistan and Afghanistan were determined to banish terrorism from their common region, he said. “Both countries have agreed in principle to wipe out terrorism.”
