PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Four militants were killed when the landmine they were planting exploded in the Baraki Barak district of central Logar province on Tuesday, an official said.
The incident took place early morning on main highway in the Pul-i-Jogi locality, District Chief Mohammad Rahim Amin told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said mine planting experts Abdul Basir, Abdul Khaliq and Asmatullah were among the slain rebels. Security forces convoy was the target of the mine.
Niazullah, a resident of the locality, said: “I heard a powerful blast and later found that militants were killed by the land mine they were planting.”
