ACB set to hire new cricket head coach

KABUL Cricket Board (ACB) is set to hire new head coach for national cricket team, it is learnt on Thursday.

The development came in the wake of contract expiration with former Head Coach Andrew Moles and the national team expertise requiring a coach with broader experiences in cricket technicalities.

Moles performed best and ensure Afghan players are properly trained in cricket, said Naimullah Danish, chairman of ACB. Danish praised the hard work of Moles and his contribution to the promotion of Afghanistan cricket.
ACB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shafiqullah Stanekzai also lauded the efforts of Moles with to promote the national cricket team.

Moles gave his best to the success of Afghanistan cricket during his coaching period, Stanekzai said.
