TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot dead a man and his son in Tirinkot, the capital of central Uruzgan province, an official said on Friday.
A police official, wishing not to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News the double-murder incident took place in the Shah Zafar neighbourhood of the city last night.
He said the gunmen killed Abdul Malik and his son, who did not have government jobs, inside their house. The killers made good their escape.
Area resident Hazratullah confirmed the shooting. He said Abdul Malik headed the village development council.
