1 dead, 5 injured in Bamyan & Daikundi incidents

NIELI/BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): A man has been killed and five others have been wounded in separate incidents in central Daikundi and Bamyan provinces, officials said on Sunday.

Abdur Rahman Ahmadi, the Bamyan governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News a man was killed and eight others were injured in a clash between two families in Foladi area on Saturday. The wounded are in stable condition.

The gunfight erupted when a bridegroom’s vehicle passed through the farmland of a family. Individuals from both families had been detained. The detainees are under investigation, and their cases have been referred to the attorney’s office.  

Elsewhere, a mini-bus flipped over in the Band-i-Borlo locality of Shahristan district in Daikundi province. At least seven passengers, including two women and as many children, were wounded.

Dr. Hashmatullah Zahir, a surgeon at the civil hospital in Nieli, the provincial capital, said the injured were in stable condition. Some of them have had their legs and hands fractured.
