GARDEZ (Pajhwok): Two policemen were killed and as many wounded in a clash on the outskirts of Gardez, the capital city of southeastern Paktia province, on Saturday, an official said.
Police Chief Qadir Gul Zadran told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident happened early in the morning when militants opened firing on policemen stationed at a check-point.
The injured security officials had been evacuated to the hospital, he said without giving details about their health conditions.
Taliban have not commented about the clash.
