Khost ring road costing 19m afghanis inaugurated

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): The governor of southeastern Khost province on Tuesday warned the elements impeding progress on ongoing urban development projects of a harsh response from the authorities.

Governor Hukam Khan said according to the municipality plan mega development projects were ongoing in different parts of the city On their completion, residents would get more facilities.

At the inauguration ceremony for the Ring Road, Khan said no one would be allowed to create hurdles to the implementation of uplift projects.“It is the responsibility of police and municipality to remove all such impediments.”

The Ring Road was completed at a cost of 19 million afghanis in four months. The road will help reduce traffic jams in the city.

Khost City Mayor Eng. Abdul Basir said they had concentrated over the quality of work during the completion of projects.He added eight major projects were underway,including the construction of roads and canals.
