Young actor illustrates current Afghanistan situation

SHARAN (Pajhwok): A young Afghan actor has exemplified the current situation in Afghanistan, expressing to the people the victims of the ongoing conflict in the country were Afghans only.

The actor Javid Abid traveled to southeastern Paktika province showed his illustration named ‘Spy’ to a gathering of people in Sharan, the provincial capital on Tuesday night.

He made the audiences cry by representing the ongoing miseries in Afghanistan. In the drama named, ‘Spy’, Abid has a mother, a sister and father. The Taliban kill Abid’s father on the name of a spy and working with the government.

In the drama, foreign forces bombard Abid’s village and kill his mother and sister three days after his father was killed by Taliban. The foreign forces later claimed they killed members of Al-Qaeda in the airstrike.

The young actor wanted to aware people by illustrations that the victims of ongoing war were Afghans only.

Talking with Pajhwok Afghan News, he said, “Hundreds of Afghans are killed everyday; I want to spread awareness among people through dramas that peace is vital for life,”

Paktika governor, Elyas Wahdat, who participated the gathering, thanked Abid who accepted risks and traveled to Paktika for representing Afghanistan’s situation with his initiatives.

“It is the value of art when an actor represents miseries of a society in a short artistic image,” he said, adding it was the only Afghan youth who yet worked for his society through illustration.

Javid Abid has received bachelor in fine arts from Kabul University and had traveled to many provinces of the country for showing his skills.
