FARAH/CHARIKAR militants has been reopened for traffic on Saturday, officials said.
On the other hand, four Taliban militants were killed during security forces attack in western Farah province.
Abdul Sammad, the Afghan Local Police (ALP) commander for Shinwari district of Parwan, told Pajhwok Afghan News the Taliban kept the Parwan-Bamyan highway blocked for traffic in Ashaba area of Jabal Alsaraj district for a few hours early today morning.
Sammad said the Taliban militants were pushed back from the area after Afghan security forces launched attack. Ashaba area bordered with Shinwari district.
He added that one of Taliban fighter was also killed and his body laid in the gun battle zone.
Three of four civilians the Taliban were trying to take them away were rescued by Afghan forces but one of them was still in the rebels’ control, Sammad said.
According to another report, four Taliban militants were killed in an Afghan forces attack in Farah province.
Noorulhaq Khaliqi, the spokesman for 2nd ground brigade in Farah, said the militants were killed in Afghan forces’ heavy weapons assault in Asiabad area of Pushtrod district late on Friday.
He said the militants were carrying BM1 rockets in a Corolla model car when came under attack.
Both the car and the rockets belonged to the militants destroyed in the incident, Khaliqi concluded.
Taliban militants did not comment on the incidents.
