ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Two police personnel have been killed in a roadside bombing in Chakhansoor district of southwestern Nimroz province, an official said on Monday.
Omid Baloch, district’s administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place in Kartah area of the district on Sunday evening.
He said two policemen including a sergeant were killed in the blast when returning to their posts from patrol in the area. The landmine was planted by the Taliban militants.
No one has so far arrested in connection to the incident but the police had launched investigation about it, he added.
A security official, who did not want to be named, said the target of the bomb was the police forces patrol.
