MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Police have arrested four alleged individuals in connection to the killing of a young businessman in northern Balkh province, an official said on Monday.
Police spokesman Sher Jan Durrani told Pajhwok Afghan News unidentified gunmen have shot dead young businessman Nikzad, 25, in the Bakhtar Karti locality on Sunday night.
Four people had been arrested in connection to the overnight murder, their cases had been prepared and would be sent to the attorney office tomorrow.
Separately, a girl has been found dead in her house in the Balkh district, crime branch chief Hussain Khan said.
The reason behind her suicide could not be ascertained, but according to family members of the girls was suffering from psychological illness.
It is pertinent to mention that targeted attacks had surged in Balkh recently.
