KABUL (Pajhwok): An Afghan embassy official was killed as a result of a traffic accident in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan’s capital, a top diplomat tweeted on Saturday.
Mirwais Nab, the Afghan ambassador to Turkmenistan, wrote the incident took place at 6am local time. Khwaja Mohammad Saleem Sharifzada, second secretary, died in Mari province.
On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the diplomat voiced deep shock at the loss of Sharifzada in the accident.
