HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Five people, including an army ambulance driver, were killed as a result of a traffic accident in western Herat province on Tuesday, an official said.
Jilani Farhad, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident took place on the airport road in the provincial capital at around 6am.
He said the mishap occurred when an ANA ambulance and a Suzuki vehicle collided. Five people were killed, the official added.
Arez Rezayee, spokesman for the 207thZafar Military Corps, said the ambulance driver and four passengers in the Suzuki car were killed. The official blamed the accident on rash driving.
