KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Idrees Zaman on Sunday met with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Kabul Mr. Liu Jinsong and discussed matters related to bilateral and regional interest, according to a statement.
Zaman appreciated China’s assistance for Afghanistan – China trilateral meeting as significant and called for further cooperation in this regard, the foreign ministry statement said.
Supporting the Afghan Led and Afghan Owned Peace Process, the Chinese Ambassador added that the Chinese government would increase the number of short-term training scholarships for the diplomats and the administrative staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan.
The two sides discussed bilateral, regional, and multilateral cooperation and the current political situation of the country.
