KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani has said that special attention was being paid to schools and hostels in the country because this served national unity, prosperity and stability in the country, a statement from Presidential Palace said on Wednesday.
The president expressed the view on Tuesday evening during a meeting with university students living in the hostels and students of Khoshal Khan and Rahman Baba High Schools here, the statement said.
Mudassir Musazai, who spoke on the representation of other students, thanked the president for inviting students to the Palace which helped them not fell homesick during Eid days.
He recalled positive steps undertaken by the Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs in these schools and stressed over the creation of a separate university too.
Tamana, a student from Kabul University, shared her views and offered congratulations to the president and the first lady. She hailed President Ghani steps for peace and stability in the country.
She said: “You are the pride of Afghanistan,” the president said while addressing the youth.
He said special attention would be paid to your schools and hostels, adding this step would strengthen national unity, prosperity and peace in the country.
The president asked the youth to deeply understand Afghanistan and get familiar with the rich history and culture of the country because Afghanistan is the honour and pride of everyone.
