Children among 6 killed, 266 injured in traffic accidents

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least six people have been killed and another 266 injured as a result of traffic accidents during Eidul Fitr in Kabul, Ghazni and Herat provinces, officials said on Saturday.

Kabul Traffic Director Col. Abdul Shakoor Khan told Pajhwok Afghan News that three people were killed and 11 others injured on the road during the Eid days in the central capital. The accidents happened in Pul-i-Charkhi, Paghman and Qarabagh.

Meanwhile, Ghazni governor’s spokesman Arif Noori said that two children were killed and 24 others, including seven minors, wounded in 20 traffic incidents during the Eid days.

On the other hand, Herat Zonal Hospital Director Mohammad Arif Jalali told Pajhwok one individual was killed and 231 others were wounded in traffic accidents in the province.
