KABUL (Pajhwok): Police on Saturday said they had arrested four members of a robbery gang during an operation in Mir Bacha district of central Kabul province.
The detainees were affiliates of a slain crime boss Inayat Qachi, who was killed during a clash with security forces. The gang was involved in armed robberies, kidnapping for ransom, murders and other heavy crimes, said a statement from 101 Asmai Zone police headquarters.
It said police conducted operation in Mir Bacha district and attested affiliates of the notorious gang namely Feroz, Ajmal, Gula Jan and Baryalai.
Five Kalashnikovs, one Kalakos, one pistol, 18 magazines and 244 Kalashnikov bullets were confiscated from the detainees, the statement said.
