JALALABAD (Pajhwok): At least nine people were killed and another four wounded as a result of a clash between two families in eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday, an official said.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident happened in the Badakas area of Khogyani district in the morning.
The dispute occurred after a verbal clash turned violent between the families of Anwar and Wreekhmen, he added.
The official said nine people were killed and four others wounded as the two sides traded gunfire. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
