Placed in Group D, the Farhan Zakhel-led side will practice for a fortnight before playing their first match against South Africa on January 17.
According to Afghanistan Cricket Board spokesman Farid Hotak, the 15-member squad will also play Canada and the United Arab Emirates on Jan. 22nd and 24th respectively.
The 48-match contest will be the 13th edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and the second to be hosted by South Africa.
