KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday ordered transfer of 400 million afghanis emergency fund to western Herat province as part of measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
President Ghani in a video message aired on the Radio Television said he had directed the authorities concerned to manage, mobilize aid, create emergency facilities and take urgent and substantial action to contain the spread of the virus.
He said in addition to other major and strategic measures to contain corona virus, he had ordered the transfer of 400 million afghanis of emergency fund to Herat province.
President Ghani urged the creation of a high council representing people from all walks of life of Herat province to work of prevention of the coronavirus spread in the province.
He assured residents of Herat that all government resources would be at their disposal to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the province.
