KABUL’s announcement of ceasefire and said the process of Taliban prisoners release will be resumed.
The president expressed the views after offering the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer. He was accompanied by National Reconciliation Council Head Abdullah and other government officials.
He said peace is the dire need of the nation and it was not limited to an individual.
Ghani again welcomed the Taliban announcement of ceasefire and said that security forces had been directed to fully observe the truce and remain in defence position.
He said Afghan government resumed the process of Taliban prisoners release and asked the Taliban to release government prisoners without further delay.
