KABUL Baradar have discussed prisoner releases and intra-Afghan talks.
Suhail Shaheen, Taliban spokesman, tweeted the movement’s deputy head Mullah Baradar and his delegation met Khalilzad and NATO commander Gen. Scott Miller in Doha on Sunday.
Both sides conferred on the need for the speedy release of prisoners and an early start to intra-Afghan negotiations, he wrote.
Later, Khalilzad and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa met in Islamabad on Sunday to review progress in the Afghan peace process.
