KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Two civilians were killed and three others wounded as a result of a roadside bombing in southern Kandahar province, an official said on Wednesday.
Police spokesman Jamal Nasir Barakzai told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place late on Tuesday when a Mazda vehicle struck the roadside bomb in the Joy-i-Lahore area of Arghandab district.
He said two civilian were killed, three others wounded. The vehicle was damaged in the explosion, the police official added.
Separately, a security officer was killed and four others were wounded as their vehicle came under attack near the Kandahar University.
