4 AGO officials arrested over bribery charge

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Attorney General Office (AGO) on Sunday said its four employees have been arrested over bribery charges.

In a statement, the AGO said the detainees included two prosecutors from Kabul and as many from eastern Nangarhar province.

The statement said, “AGO officials arrested the attorney chief of Lalpura district of Nangarhar over allegedly taking 36,000 afghanis in bribe.”

The statement said another prosecutor from the same province was arrested for accepting $2000.

The AGO also arrested the Shakardara district administrative director over accepting $3000 in bribe.
