JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Eight Afghan Local Police members were killed and five others wounded in a Taliban attack in eastern Nangarhar province, the governor’s office said on Wednesday.
At least three Taliban fighters were also killed in the ensuing clash triggered by the attack in Pachiragam district late on Tuesday, a statement from the governor’s house said.
Elsewhere in the province, two soldiers were killed in an attack by Pakistan-based Lashkar-i-Islam fighters n Nazian district, the statement added.
