AIBAK (Pajhwok): Three Taliban militants were killed and two others wounded during a security forces’ operation in northern Samangan province on Saturday, an official said.
Police spokesman Munir Rahimi told Pajhwok Afghan News the joint operation involved police, intelligence and army personnel and was carried out in Nowruz village of Do Ab district on Saturday.
He said the bodies of the slain rebels remained on the battlefield and the security forces seized a rocket-propelled grenade launcher and two Taliban motorcycles.
The Taliban have said nothing in this regard.
