KABUL (MoPH) to define its fundamental responsibilities and emphasis on its effective implementation.
A statement from the Presidential Palace received by Pajhwok Afghan News said President Ghani expressed the view while discussing the joint efforts of the MoPH, Ministry of Finance (MoF), the Afghanistan Medical Council (AMC) and the Ombudsperson Office to fight the Covid-19 pandemic and to improve service delivery at the MoPH.
Firstly, the MoF presented its expense reports fighting the Covid-19, the Ombudsperson Office also offered its reports over investigating of the budget allocated for four provinces for fighting the pandemic and the AMC also presented its report over the investigation of the Covid-19 hospitals, the statement said.
After hearing the reports, President Ghani had instructed the MoPH to review the reports and findings of the MoF, the Ombudsperson Office and the AMC to make a regular plan to follow the proposed reforms in coordination with Administrative Affairs Office.
President Ghani also emphasized over professionalism of the MoFH, solving the budget problem of the AMC, and defining the basic standards for the provincial departments of public health.
