KABUL (Pajhwok): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has endorsed amendment into population registration law that made mandatory inclusion of mother name National Identity Card (NIC) also known as Tazkera.
Presidential Spokesperson Sediq Sediqi said after this inclusion of mother name in the NIC officially approved.
Before the amendment name, father name and grandfather name of an individuals are written in the NIC, but the fresh amendment allow the registration of mother name as well.
