JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The Afghan Special Forces have killed four militants, including the Daesh organiser of targeted killings and suicide attacks, in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Wednesday.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the National Directorate of Security (NDS) Special Forces Unit 02 conducted the operation in the 4th police district of Jalalabad on Tuesday night.
He said four insurgents, including the Daesh commander in charge of targeted killings and suicide attacks, were killed in the overnight raid.
According to Khogyani, the slain militants resisted the security forces’ raid and tried to escape. However, they were shot dead by the raiding party.
The security forces seized cash, weapons, explosives, a rickshaw and a Corolla car from the slain insurgents. The NDS Unit 02 confirmed the operation to Pajhwok.
