KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Monday said 12 new Covid-19 cases had been registered in the past 24 hours in different parts of the country, taking the nation’s overall tally to 39,239.
In a statement, the ministry said 224 individuals underwent tests and six of them were diagnosed with the virus during the period.
At least six cases were reported in Herat, two in Balkh and one each in Kabul, Takhar, Kunduz and Kunar, the statement added.
Three individuals died from the disease during the past 24 hours and the number of deaths thus rose to 1,456. So far, 32,642 people have recovered from the pandemic.
