KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Wednesday said 14 new Covid-19 cases had been registered in the past 24 hours in different parts of the country.
In a statement, the ministry said 285 individuals underwent tests and 14 of them were diagnosed with the virus during the period, taking the nation’s overall tally to 39,268.
At least eight cases were reported in Badakhshan, four in Balkh and one each in Kabul and Zabul provinces, the ministry added.
No one died from the disease during the past 24 hours and the number of deaths thus remained at 1,458. So far, 32,789 people have recovered from the pandemic.
