District chief, 2 guards killed in Laghman blast

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): The Dawalat Shah district administrative chief was killed in a bomb blast in eastern Laghman province on Wednesday, an official said.

Asadullah Dawlatzai, the governor’s spokesman, said the roadside blast ripped through the vehicle of Syed Sharif Bacha in Anda Kori area of the district at around 2:00pm.

He said the blast killed Pacha and two of his security guards and injured two others. The wounded had been shifted to hospital, Dawlatzai said, but he had no information about their condition.

It was the third deadly blast taking place in Laghman in a week.
