Rashid to play for Adelaide Strikers in BBL

KABUL’s spin sensation Rashid Khan says he will once again represent Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League (BBL).

The 2020–21 cricket competition, involving 61 matches, is scheduled to start on December 3 and conclude on February 6, 2021 in Australia.

“I’m so happy that I am able to play for the Strikers again in a big tenth season of the Big Bash, and I loved this competition from the very beginning,” Rashid said.

The Indo-Asian News Network (IANS) quoted the all-rounder as calling the Strikers a family to him since he joined the club.

“I am so thankful to the fans who have been supporting me and made me feel like Adelaide is my home,” the star cricketer added.

Currently, Rashid Khan — the third-highest wicket-taker for the Strikers with 56 from 40 matches — is playing for the SunRisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Dubai.

Strikers head coach Jason Gillespie is looking forward to welcoming Khan back to South Australia for a fourth season.
