8 civilians killed in Ghazni blast

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Eight civilians were killed and two policemen injured in back to back blasts in southern Ghazni province on Saturday, an official said.

Police spokesman Ahmad Khan Seerat told Pajhwok Afghan News 8 civilians, including 3 women highway in the Roza area.

He said, when police arrived to evacuate bodies another bomb exploded in which two policemen were injured and their vehicle was destroyed.

However, Provincial Hospital Director Dr. Baz Mohammad Himmat said, 9 bodies and 3 injured had been evacuated to the hospital from the site of blast.

He said the dead included 8 civilians and a policeman but the wounded were all policemen.

No group has claimed responsibility for the blasts.
