Rahmon backs Kabul’s quest for peace, stability

KABUL (Pajhwok): Tajikistan’s president has extended condolences to his Afghan counterpart Ashraf Ghani over the deadly terrorist attack on the Kabul University.

The presidency in Dushanbe said Emomali Rahmon had a phone conversation with President Ashraf Ghani and extended condolences to him over the attack that killed 22 students and teachers.

According to Asia-Plus, he also conveyed his sincere condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families and the people of Afghanistan and wished the injured a swift recovery.

Rahmon said his country strongly condemned all terrorist acts and hoped such actions would not affect the decisive steps the Afghans were taking towards peace and stability.
