4 security personnel killed in Uruzgan bombing

TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): A car bombing targeted a joint base of security forces in central Uruzgan province on Wednesday, an official said.

Governor Mohammad Omar Sherzad told Pajhwok Afghan News that an explosives-packed Humvee tank hit the joint security personnel base in Tirinkot City, the provincial capital at around 3:00am early in the morning.

He said two Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers, one public uprising forces member and one policeman were killed in the bombing.

But another security source, speaking on the condition of anonymity said, that six soldiers were killed and around 15 more wounded in the predawn assault.

There was no claim of responsibility for the bombing.
