HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): At least three people were killed and seven others wounded in a traffic accident in the Adraskan district of western Herat province on Monday.
Abdul Ali Faqiryar, the Adraskan district administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News a fielder type vehicle deviated from the road in the Adraskan district bazaar and collided with a truck parked on the side of the road on Monday.
He said the fielder vehicle was coming from southern Kandahar province to Herat and met the accident at around 7.30am. he said three people were killed and seven others wounded in the crash.
The injured were evacuated to the district hospital, where doctors said one of the injured was in critical condition.
Careless driving is often blamed for such fatal accidents.
