KABUL (Pajhwok): The Central Passport Office on Wednesday announced ceasing issuance of passports on paper Tazkara ID cards.
A statement published by the press office of the Central Passport Office sates that passport applicants should bring electronic ID cards to obtain passport at central office and passport offices in provinces.
Three days ago, the National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) stopped the process of distributing paper Tazkara ID cards in Kabul.
So far only more than two million electronic ID cards have been distributed throughout the country.
