GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): The Nawai Unit Commander Lt. Rahmatullah Mubarez has been killed in a roadside blast in the Deh Yak district of southern Ghazni province, a well-placed security source said on Friday.
Mubarez was killed in a roadside blast that struck his vehicle and injured two other policemen, the source said.
Mubarez wanted to transfer the body of acting police chief of Deh Yak district when his vehicle struck the roadside blast.
No group claimed responsibility for the blast.
It is worth mentioning that fighting between security forces and the Taliban intensified in Ghazni in recent days.
